Chocolate cake with chocolate panels
I made this cake for my pastor's birthday. There was a lot of goodness in this baby!!!
The cake was a flourless chocolate cake with freshly grounded hazelnut meal. I covered the cake with ganache and decorated with chocolate panels on the outside. To top it up, I filled it with strawberries and blueberries.
I would consider this is a very healthy cake, because it has all the good antioxidants that you need!!
We love Japanese food!!!
To celebrate Cath's 20 years in Queensland, we organised a special lunch for her...
This is only a sample of what we had. We bought 2kg of salmon - it was fresh, delicious, and yummy!!!! I was salmon overloaded... we had it with sushi, sashimi, grilled, diced and mixed with rice etc... I pan fried the skin with olive oil, salt and pepper. The crispy skin was awesome.
Shisei made the tempura - with prawns, beans, eggplants and sweet potato... the eggplants just melt in your mouth - Oishii Oishii Oishii Oishii
Princess cake
This was amazing, consider I never had a barbie doll before... It was a great cake to practice my piping skills!!
Happy 21st Birthday Jackie!
A friend's sister's 21st is coming up. She asked if I could make her a cake. The party is gonna have a cartoon character theme and she would like an Ariel Cake. How could I resist this challenge??
I did a few sketches and I thought the cake is gonna looked amazing and difficult at the same time. First, I have never sculpted anything with gum paste before. Second, this is a huge cake, it is gonna fed 60 people... I will need a lot of elements to fill the cake, so it will not look empty.
I was a bit ambitious. I wanted the cake to look very colourful, corals, chocolate seashells and starfishs made from scratch, waves, sand, rocks made out of honeycomb etc... Well, I think I achieved it :)
